形態特徵：

胸鰭條數：7-8；腹鰭軟條數：7；背鰭軟條數：11；臀鰭軟條數： 16-17；發光器排列：IP 10-11, PV 22-23, VAV 21-22, AC 12, IC 66-68, OA 39-42, BR 19；OA最後的3-4個以及AC最後的6-8個發光器位置略高於其他的發光器。下頜鬚粗壯，末端細小。身體呈暗褐色，脂鰭呈黑色具白色邊緣，尾柄不具黑斑。(2015/12/16李茂熒、林沛立編寫)

棲所生態：

大洋性中層魚類，生態習性不甚清楚，棲息水深在200-600公尺間。

地理分布：

目前已知分布於印度洋即臺灣西南部海域。

利用：

一般以底拖網捕獲，不具食用經濟價值，通常做為下雜魚用。
