形態特徵：

胸鰭條數：10；腹鰭軟條數：7；背鰭軟條數：19-21；臀鰭軟條數：24-26；脊椎骨數：77；發光器排列：IP 11, PV 39-40, VAV 19-20, AC 13, IC 83-84, OV 37-41, VAL 19-20, OA 59-61。下頜鬚延長，基底具絲狀分支，分支末端膨大延長，長度超過下頜鬚長度的25％，僅有1-3根絲狀構造。身體延長且體色呈暗褐色。(2015/12/16李茂熒、林沛立編寫)

棲所生態：

大洋性中層魚類，生態習性不甚清楚，棲息水深在500-800公尺間。

地理分布：

僅分布於西北太平洋海域。臺灣分布於東沙群島附近。

利用：

一般以底拖網捕獲，不具食用經濟價值，通常做為下雜魚用。
