Habitat: Nocturnal species. Found in caves and among corals of lagoon and seaward reefs. Feeds on zooplankton and other small benthic invertebrates. 
Distribution: Indo-Pacific: Chagos Islands to the Hawaiian Islands, north to Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands, south to Rapa; Mariana and Marshall Islands in Micronesia. 
Utility: No commercial value.
