Habitat: A rare species occurring in small groups exclusively among the spines of Diadema setosum in shallow sheltered waters. Feeds on zooplankton and other small benthic invertebrates. 
Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Maldives to Mariana Islands, north to Ryukyu Islands, south to northwestern Australia; Mariana and eastern Caroline Islands in Micronesia. 
Utility: No commercial value.
