Character: Disc rhomboid, broadly rounded, front edges waved, outer and hinder angles rounded. Snout forms narrow triangular point in front. Mouth with three papillae. Teeth with rather narrow triangular cusp; upper lip with fringed edge, lower with rather large pleats; nostrils small.(Fowler) Spiracles large, deep. Gill openings small, equidistant. No dorsal fin. Ventrals short, broad, front and hind rays subequal. Caudal fin short, rounded behind. Tail short, 1.3 to 1.5 in disc length, with caudal spine. Uniform brown above, whitish below. 
Habitat: Found on sand and rock bottoms. Ovoviviparous, with up to 4 in a litter. 
Distribution: Japan, Korea, Chian, Taiwan.
